"Finding new donors for Practical Action is always a challenge, particularly as our funds support work overseas and public awareness of our charity is low. Successfully recruiting new regular giving donors is never easy, particularly in current times, however, Champions Life Academy has really helped us achieve some great results.
Their approach to direct fundraising is different. The team training was thorough right from the start as was the high quality of their fundraisers. Champions focus on spending time with potential donors, talking about our work before asking them to sign up. This really helped positively impact on the results we enjoyed during this summer's campaign."
- Justine Williams, Head of Public Fundraising, Practical Action
For the past 2 years, Champions Life Academy have successfully partnered up with Practical Action to undertake Practical Action's fundraising activities. In this time we have found them 2800 donors pledging nearly £280,000 in annual donations.
Practical Action was founded in 1966, as ITDG (the Intermediate Technology Development Group), by the radical economist Dr EF Schumacher to prove that his philosophy of ‘Small is Beautiful’ could bring real and sustainable improvements to people’s lives.
Dr Schumacher's philosophy is a driving factor in tackling poverty, and pivotal to Practical Action's approach to: Using technology to change the world.
