Champions Life Academy director John Pordum and marketing manager Marco Ferrara presented to service marketing masters’ students at the University of Brighton on Monday this week.
The presentation involved a critical analysis of Pordum Foods development, from the initial start-up business in frozen food in the early 90’s to the birth of Bon Appetit in 2004.
The company market-oriented approach to business, characterized by spotting key trends in the rapidly changing food business, has triggered several questions from students regarding the business model, the challenges and the rewards of operating in the industry.
Students were also keen to hear how marketing operates within Bon Appetit and how research is playing an increasingly crucial role in New Product Development.
The participation of Bon Appetit to the lecture is part of a larger co-operation with the University of Brighton aiming to exchange knowledge with students, professors and other local businesses.
